It was a unique experience. It was a ‘dreams come true’. I have dreamt about playing King Crimson songs on stage since I was high school student. Our musical team led by Vladimir Kornienko gathered especially for the 1969 festival dedicated to the year of many important era-making, paradigmatic/textbook rock albums. We played a set of King Crimson songs from their first two albums.
Show preparation process was very intense - I felt great responsibility, but at the same time we had lot of fun. The rehearsals were like master classes - I learned a lot about myself and my abilities, I also learned a lot about music in general and it felt like I rediscovered one of my favourite bands. In many ways it was thanks to Vladimir. I remember those moments on stage with a trembling heart.
